Ceramic Coatings

Let's talk about it:

What they are:
- Ceramic coatings are a liquid form of Si02, also known as Silica or Silicon Dioxide. Once applied, the coating will chemically bond to the vehicle's paint (clear coat) and transform into a hard protective shell.
- Semi-permanent protection (see below).
- Long lasting, inorganic, gloss enhancing, hydrophobic, chemical and scratch resistant, UV Ray protection.

What they are not:
- A permanent layer of protection. Well maintained coatings typically last between 3-5, with 5+ years as the exception.
- A protective layer which is capable of preventing rock chips and deep scratches. Coatings are exceptionally thin layers measuring in at only a few microns (μm) thick (1 to 3 microns per layer of application). For reference, spider silk can range between 3 - 8 μm.
- Will not mask imperfections in the paint. Nano coatings do not carry any "fillers" and as such will not remove swirls or scratches; conversely, ceramic Coatings will only highlight any existing imperfections.
